Engineering-Driven Approach

Unlike general part suppliers, Shengqi's engineering team reviews each project from the mold development perspective: checking part geometry, wall thickness, material flow, mold structure, cooling strategy and production feasibility before confirming the tooling plan. This reduces trial-and-error cycles and supports consistent mold performance.

Custom Injection Mold Development

Shengqi develops injection molds for PET preforms, thin-wall packaging, storage products, automotive plastic components, home appliance housings, medical consumables and daily-use plastic products. Engineering includes DFM review, mold flow analysis, cooling design, ejection planning and mold steel selection.

SMC / BMC / DMC / FRP Compression Molds

Fiberglass composite compression molds for ballistic helmets, protective plates, electrical enclosures, industrial covers, bathroom bases, composite furniture and construction products. Review covers material charging, cavity strength, heating layout, pressure distribution and part release.

Mold Trial and Adjustment

After tooling is completed, the first trial is conducted to verify filling, surface quality, dimensions and release. Trial samples are inspected against the product specification. Mold adjustments are made based on trial data and customer approval standards before final delivery or production.

Molded Product Manufacturing

For customers who need finished molded parts rather than only the mold, Shengqi can support high-volume injection or compression molded product production after mold development and validation. Delivery includes sample approval, batch production, inspection and export coordination.

Engineering Approach

How Shengqi reviews and develops a mold project

Every mold project follows a structured engineering process from drawing review through trial molding to final approval.

01 — Drawing and Sample Review

The team starts by reviewing the customer's 2D or 3D drawings, product sample photos or physical samples. Key points checked include part geometry, wall thickness distribution, undercuts, draft angles, expected material, gate position, parting line direction and any special surface or assembly requirements.

02 — DFM (Design for Manufacturing) Feedback

Before tooling starts, Shengqi provides DFM feedback covering potential molding risks: areas that may cause sink marks, weld line positions, filling concerns, difficult-to-cool zones, ejection challenges and suggestions for product structure improvements. This helps the customer optimize the part for moldability before cutting steel.

03 — Mold Design and Structure Planning

The mold plan considers cavity quantity, runner system, gate type and position, parting surface, slider and lifter layout, cooling channel design, ejection method and mold steel selection. For compression molds, material charging pattern, heating system and venting layout are reviewed.

04 — Trial Molding and Process Stability

The first trial checks real molding conditions: filling balance, surface quality, dimensional accuracy, part weight, cycle time, demolding reliability and deformation. Mold adjustments target stable production performance — repeatable quality across full production runs, not just a few good samples.
